lyrics
It's time to tell the timeless story
of a man who worked the trollies
and a girl from the northern forty
who kept him company
He met her in a motel lobby
watching wrestling was her hobby
when she wasn't sitting oddly
in her lingerie
She introduced herself as Lucy
and talked about her mink Jacuzzi
she owned a vintage Motoguzzi
and two Italian maids
He smelled her hair and asked her sweetly
up the stairs she followed discreetly
and they described themselves completely
while accordions played
And in the morning they went their ways
and occasionally spent their days
alone in their own private shell
but in the evening they left their cage
and so quietly made their way
to 13B Hawthorne Street
But over time his eyes grew blurry
he packed his bag, left in a hurry
but she was never one to worry
if they couldn't stay
And after many years he saw her
on a park bench with her lawyer
and in a way she looked much taller
than she did before
And in the morning they went their ways
and occasionally spent their days
alone in their own private shell
but in the evening they left their place
and so quietly made their way
to 13B, 13B, 13B Hawthorne Street

An elegantly artistic psych/folk album that impresses with its heartfelt delivery, musicality and desire to offer something mature in its messaging. These relaxing and yet highly intriguing arrangements provide something for almost any listener of the genre. Michael Reilly
